Authorising Awards :
(*1) Bronze Awards should be checked by the County DofE Award Development Officer (DofE Officer), who may authorise the Award if all conditions are satisfied. The certificate at the back of the Record Book should be completed and signed, and a Bronze certificate, pin badge and cloth brassard badge made available for presentation to the successful participant.
(*2) Silver Award - as for the Bronze Award, but the Record Book should be signed by the County Cadet Commandant or Deputy.
(*3) Gold Awards: Completed Record Books, checked by the County DofE Officer, should be forwarded unsigned to Major Oliver Shepard at ACFA in London, along with a completed Gold Notification Form (GA4).
Please note that details contained in this form are closely scrutinised, and incorrect entries can severely delay the processing of Awards.
Final confirmation of the Award will be notified to ACFA by Award Head Office in Windsor, and only at this point should any Gold badge presentations be made locally.
All Gold recipients will be invited to receive their certificate at a Royal Palace in due course.
(*4) Brassard badges: Please note that these are NOT the same as the "Cadet Forces Level Badges" advertised on page 6 of Award Scheme Limited's (ASL) catalogue.
