Major Martin Peterson of Cheshire ACF has joined the select band of people who have been awarded the ACFA Advisory Panels Certificate of Recognition of Outstanding Service to the DofE. Martin was presented with his Certificate by Lt Col Alistair Spowage, Chairman of the Panel.

Yet again, 50 delegates from all over the UK came together to share experience, discuss issues and network in the friendly atmosphere of Frimley. Thanks to Col Ashley Fulford for Directing the Conference, and to leaders from the DofE, CTC and the ACF who led the many and varied sessions.

Eight of Middlesex and NW London Sectors Army Cadets marked the first part of their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award journey when they were presented with their Bronze Award Certificates at their unit HQ in Vicarage Farm Road, Heston

The Advisory Panel took advantage of the occasion of their annual Panel meeting at Fort William to say a sincere thank you to Colonel Crichton Wakelin for all his considerable support of DofE over the past decade.

DofE training was the flavour of the month in Scotland during September, with no fewer that 3 courses being run. With Introduction to the DofE courses at Boddam, north of Aberdeen, and Drumshoreland near Edinburgh and an Expedition Accredited Assessor course at Ayr, the training team was kept very busy indeed.

Congratulations to SI Lydia Fuller of Maidstone, Cdt Sgt Major Karina Puttock (Rainham), Cdt Jessica Page (Chatham) and Cdt Sgt Harry Levey (Sandwich) of Kent ACF who recently teamed up with participants working through Medway Council to complete a strenuous Gold expedition in the Peak District.

SI Chloe Mitchell of Devon ACF is congratulated by Panel Member (and her County Commandant) Col Ashley Fulford on achieving her Gold Award, having previously gained Bronze and Silver as a cadet. Chloe is now undertaking DofE leadership training in the ACF through the Modular Training Framework.
